Boston Business Journal Names Logans Holding Patterns "Among Nations Worst"
July 2008 - The Boston Business Journal has reported that Logan International Airport is among the worst in the country for delays on the Tarmak [See Attached Stories]
This fact makes our work on the Center-field Taxiway with J. F. White Contracting, Co and Massport all that more important. The new Taxi-way will hopefully elveate these issues and make the wait on the runways shorter for us all.

The flight from Logan International Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York is a breeze. Once you’re in the air, flight time is about 47 minutes.
But actually getting in the air — that’s the rub. Passengers can expect to wait on the tarmac in Boston an average of 22 minutes if they’re taking that route. The trip back is even worse. While the average in-air time from JFK to Logan is just under 40 minutes, the average taxi-out time at JFK for that route is nearly 32 minutes.
Tarmac delays at major airports have been creeping up steadily over the past decade. And delays at Logan rank among the worst in the country, leaving frustrated passengers an average of 20.1 minutes to sweat in their seats before takeoff, according to figures from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
That wait ranks as the sixth worst in the country, and over the past 18 months, Logan’s tarmac delays, or taxi-out times, have approached their worst level in a decade. Taxi-out time is how long it takes a passenger jet to take off after leaving the departure gate. JFK’s average wait time is the worst in the country, at 37.1 minutes.
